BUILDER – SOCCER – INDUCTED IN 2015
Eustace Collins held many titles in the Georgetown Soccer Club, but is probably best described as the organization’s ambassador.

Collins joined the Georgetown Soccer Club as a rep coach in 1995, leading both girls’ and boys’ teams in 1995 during the indoor and outdoor seasons. He led the Georgetown Girls’ Under-17 Mustangs to the South Region Soccer League championship in 2008.
Collins played a key role in not only developing players as the club’s skills instructor, but also its coaches as a mentor coach.
In addition to coaching with the club, Collins also coached the Georgetown District High School girls’ soccer team, a women’s recreational league team and was a special needs soccer coach for the Town of Halton Hills, where he worked in the finance and administration department.
Those skills were put to use with the club as well. He joined the club’s board of directors in 1999 and was the director of policies and procedures from 2001-04, helping set up the club’s human resources and payroll policies. He was the club registrar from 2005-12.
Collins also played with the Georgetown Mariners, the local men’s league team.
He was a fixture at Cedarvale Park, watching the club’s rep teams play from the picnic table by the willow tree. He was always willing to share his knowledge of the game with players and promoted the club in a positive manner.
In 2012, Collins was honoured with the Ontario Soccer Association’s Club Excellence Volunteer of the Year award.
Each year the club holds the Eustace Collins Memorial Tournament, its largest rep tournament of the year, drawing teams from the Under-13 to Under-21 age groups from across the province.
The Georgetown Soccer Club also annually awards the Eustace Collins Scholarship to one graduating student from each of Halton Hills’ high schools.
